Singham Again: Amidst constant death threats, Salman Khan will not do a cameo in Ajay Devgan starrer film? Here’s what we know

Date:

The internet was very excited about Salman Khan’s cameo in Ajay Devgan’s upcoming film Singham Again. Pinkvilla was first to tell you that the superstar has agreed to play a special role in the film for his friends Rohit and Ajay. However, the latest reports suggest that amid the death threats the superstar has been receiving, the makers have decided to remove his appearance.

According to a recent report by Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan’s one-day shoot was to take place in Golden Tobacco, Mumbai. However, after the unfortunate demise of Baba Siddiqui, the shooting had to be cancelled.

A source close to the development shared with the publication, “Rohit and Ajay then discussed it internally and realized that it would be insensitive to request Salman Khan to shoot amid all the controversies.” The report further adds that the duo was racing against time to send their film to the censors and they decided to submit it without Salman Khan’s presence.

The source said that the post-credit scene is likely to have a back shot of Chulbul Pandey. However, the source remained unsure about the idea of making it to the final shot.

“Shooting with Salman just a day or two after Baba Siddiqui’s death was insensitive. And Rohit had to submit Singham Again to the censors by Friday – October 18. That’s when he took the tough decision to go ahead and respect the privacy of Taken. Salman Khan,” the source was quoted as saying.

Notably, a reliable source had earlier informed us that the Sikandar actor had allotted a day to shoot the sequence, and Rohit Shetty had also started preparing for it. “It’s a mega-collaboration, and the newest addition to their famous cop-universe is Chulbul Pandey. While there will be a small glimpse of Chulbul Pandey in Singham Again, the future timeline of Rohit’s police universe will definitely introduce him in a full avatar,” the source had said.

This Ajay Devgan-led cop-drama film stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff and Arjun Kapoor in important roles. The fifth installment of the beloved franchise is set to release on Diwali, i.e. November 1, 2024.
