Singer Kailash Kher recently reacted to the incident of shooting in the newly opened cafe in Comedian Kapil Sharma’s Surrey, Canada, stating that he is not fully aware of the details and will comment further after more clarity on the situation.
Talk to IANSKher said, “I don’t know about that incident yet. Once I know more, I will speak.” After shooting at Kapil Sharma’s newly launched restaurant, security measures outside his residence in Mumbai have been tightened.
Unknown assailants set fire to Kapil Sharma’s Cafe, Cup Cafe premises on 10 July. A day later, Mumbai police personnel were seen in the house of actor and comedian in Oshwara area in Mumbai.
The installation, which was recently inaugurated, has attracted online attention with viral images. The attackers allegedly rushed into a vehicle and ran away shortly after the shots were removed. Fortunately, there was no injury.
Khalistani terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi has claimed responsibility for the attack. The shooting took place on July 10 at around 2:00 pm locally, 120th Street, in the cafe located in 8400 blocks of Surrey.
Following the recent shooting incident at Kapil Sharma’s CAF in Surrey, Canada, the management of the establishment expressed pain in a statement shared through Instagram stories.
“We opened the cup cafe with the hope of bringing warmth, community, and happiness through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. The difference of violence with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up.”
Who is Harjeet Singh Laddi?
The Canadian -based Khalistani terrorist, Harjit Singh Laddi, has emerged as an important person in the investigation of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in extremist activities that target Indian interests. One of the most wanted fugitives, Laddi Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), is one of the oldest and most organized Khalistani organizations banned under Indian law.
According to the NIA, Laddi is under surveillance for his alleged involvement in orchestrated violent operations from abroad. He was murdered in Nangal, Punjab in June 2024, is also a primary suspect in the murder of Vikas Prabhakar, a senior leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). The agency’s investigation has since highlighted a widespread conspiracy, which exposes Ladia, Kulbir Singh Alias Sidu, and other operators.
