
According to the 2025 Henley Passport Index, Singapore’s passport has emerged as the strongest passport in the world with a visa-free or visa-on-recurrence in 193 out of 227 countries worldwide. India secured 80th position in the list, with easy access to 56 countries.
Compiled by Henley & Partners, the index assessed 199 passports based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
According to the list, South Korea and Japan followed Singapore in second place with easy access to 190 countries. Seven countries, including Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Ireland, Finland and Denmark, shared the third rank with access to 187 destinations without pre -visa requirements.
Biggest profit
The passport of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) emerged as the biggest advantage by adding 72 destinations to its list in the last decade. At the eighth position with access to 184 countries, the UAE is the only Arab nation in the top 10. It was ranked 32nd in 2015,
The other major advantage was China, which was ranked 59th in 2015 with access to 83 destinations.
Biggest loser
Comparing passport strength in 10 years from 2015 to 2025, the South American nations of Venezuela and its northern neighbor were upset for the biggest loser in the United States of Visa-free access.
The US, who occupied second place behind Japan, is ranked ninth in its kitty with 183 visa-free sites. However, Venezuela emerged as the biggest losing by dropping 42 positions at 42nd position in 42nd position unlike 2 in 2015.
India and its neighbors
India shared the 80th position with Algeria, Equatorial Guinea and Tajikistan. Its neighbor Myanmar secured the 88th game with access to 45 destinations. Sri Lanka shared 91st position with Iran and Sudan with access to 42 countries.
Bangladesh shared 93rd parts with Libya and Palestinian regions, Nepal is ranked 94th and Pakistan is ranked 96th with Yemen.
Botan 3 Passport
At the bottom of the list at the 99th place, Afghanistan, run by the Taliban, faced the most comprehensive dynamics difference in the 19-year history of the index by losing visa-free access to two additional destinations. Passport provides easy access to only 25 countries. Meanwhile, unstable Iraq was ranked 97th with access to 30 countries and the war -torn Syria was ranked 98th with access to 27 destinations.
