Indian cricketer Shubman Gill turned 25 this Sunday (September 8). On this special occasion, his close friend Khushpreet Singh Aulakh shared several pictures on his Instagram Stories, offering glimpses of the birthday party. We loved Shubman’s happiness in the pictures, but what caught our eyes was the delicious birthday cake placed in front of him. It was a two-tier vanilla cake, decorated with a curved, knotted pattern around the double base. The fondant number of “25” and the text that read “Happy Birthday Shubman” were the highlights. It seems that the white theme of the dessert was deliberately chosen to highlight Shubman’s budding Test career. How do we know? Well, a figurine depicting the birthday boy bowing his head was placed on top of the cake. The figurine holds a special significance in Shubman’s life as he displayed the same gesture after scoring his first century in a Test match. The side note read, “Happy Birthday to my brother from another mother.”

There is no debate that Shubman Gill is a big foodie. Last year, he indulged his taste buds with Japanese cuisine. Guess who his partner was? It was cricketer Ishan Kishan. Shubman shared a few pictures on Facebook in which he is seen enjoying a sushi platter with his special friend. They were also holding tropical drinks in their hands and were smiling at the camera. On a trip to France, Shubman Gill mesmerized us with his delicious breakfast. Posting a picture of his yummy morning meal on Instagram, the star cricketer wrote, “this is life (That’s life)”. We get it Shubman, we get it. Semifreddo with soaked figs, plums and berries was displayed on a table in front of him. We also spotted delicious mini pancakes served with caviar and cream.
