Actress Shraddha Kapoor has suffered an injury during the shooting of Laxman Utekar’s upcoming film ‘Itha’. After he suffered a fracture in his toe, the shooting was temporarily halted.

According to sources close to the actor, Shraddha fractured her toe while filming an elaborate Lavani dance sequence. The actor, who plays young Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar in the biopic, reportedly gained more than 15 kg for the role and wore a vibrant Nauvari saree with traditional jewelery for the dance number composed by Ajay-Atul.
A production source gave this information to India Today during a dance sequenceShe “accidentally put all her weight on one of her legs and lost her balance as a result.”
Although director Laxman Utekar immediately stopped shooting, Shraddha urged the team to continue and even worked on a schedule to film close-ups and emotional scenes on the Mud Island set after returning to Mumbai.
But the source said that his pain soon worsened and hence he had to stop the shooting. “The unit will come together after two weeks when Shraddha fully recovers,” the source said.
