A few days ago news came that Rajkumar Rao and Patralekhaa are turning to production. A few days after this, recent reports revealed that the film directed by Vivek Daschoudhary will star Sanya Malhotra and its shooting will begin tomorrow i.e. on December 2.
According to a report published in Mid-Day, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha’s upcoming production is all set to go on floors from December 2, 2024. The yet untitled film will star Sanya Malhotra, Abhishek Banerjee and Seema Pahwa in important roles. Directed by Guns N’ Roses director Vivek Daschaudhuri, the film will notably reunite Raj and Sanya after their 2022 collaboration, Hit: The First Case.
A source close to the development has informed the publication that the director will begin a two-month straight schedule in Mumbai which will run till the end of January 2025. The report claims that the director will shoot the introductory scenes of Rajkumar and Sanya’s characters.
The source was quoted as saying, “Last week, the lead pair did a look test with stylist Sheetal Sharma, who is designing the looks for the characters in the film. The film will be shot on sets in and around Mumbai. “
Although details about the plot are still under wraps, it has also been revealed that the film is set in Mumbai. The film, premiering on Netflix, revolves around a Mumbai-based couple and all the unique, lovable characters who become a part of their journey.
“The dark comedy focuses on the tough life of Mumbai. Rajkummar loved how Vivek gave a quirky and brilliant take on the story,” the source added.
An initial report in the same publication claimed that it was Patralekha’s idea to venture into production after the massive success of Stree 2.
On the work front, after the important release, Pinkvilla exclusively informed you that Rajkummar Rao is also working on an untitled feature film backed by him and directed by Aditya Nimbalkar. “It is a dark comedy based on the backdrop of a murder. Rajkummar Rao liked the subject so much that he decided to produce it himself,” a source shared with us.
He was last seen in the family comedy film Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video opposite Trupti Dimri.
