Shiamak Davar to choreograph Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, details

Choreographer Shiamak Davar has joined Nitish Tiwari’s ambitious two-part Ramayan, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash. He expressed his excitement about working on the mythological epic in a recent interview.

Choreographer Shiamak Davar confirmed that he is joining Nitish Tiwari’s much-awaited film ‘Ramayan’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash. Davar recently discussed his involvement in the project during an interview and said that it will be very different.

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Shiamak said,The new film I am doing now is not ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, it is ‘Ramayana’.(The new film I am doing is not ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, it is ‘Ramayana’). So let’s wait and see what happens.

The 64-year-old actor expressed his excitement about the project saying, “Of course, I am always excited about my films. Yes, that’s why I am choreographing it.”

“It will be very different, therefore I am (That’s why I’m doing this),” he added.

The two-part film directed by Nitish Tiwari will star Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The cast also includes Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey in important roles.

Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ has been described as an ambitious retelling of the classic tale. With the confirmed involvement of Dawar and the lead cast, the project is set to be one of the most anticipated releases of next year.

Part one is scheduled for release in Diwali 2026, while the sequel is expected in 2027.

Shiamak started his career in Bollywood with the film ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’. After this he choreographed for other films like ‘Taal’, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, ‘Dhoom 2’ and ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’.

Shiamak Davar’s influence extends beyond film. His dance schools across India have played an important role in popularizing professional jazz and contemporary dance.
