Amber Rose claims that Beyoncé’s speech at the Republican National Convention was taken from her. The Grammy-winning singer speaks in Houston on Friday, Oct. 25, after attending a campaign rally for Vice President Kamala Harris. According to a post by The Shade Room, Rose commented on a post featuring Beyoncé’s speech, writing, “She wants to be like me. “They literally took my entire speech.”
Rose and the Texas Hold ‘Em singer’s speeches had some similarities, as they both addressed topics such as motherhood and its impact on voting. At the recent rally, Harris delivered her speech from a mother’s perspective. “I am not here as a celebrity, I am not here as a politician. The singer said, I am here as a mother.
“A mother who cares deeply about the world that my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our own bodies, a world where we are not divided,” she said. Beyoncé further emphasized that young children should be able to achieve their goals “with no limits, no limitations” and urged listeners to vote for a better future.
Rose gave a similar speech at the RNC in July, in which she began presenting herself as a mother rather than a citizen of the United States. “My entire world revolves around taking care of my children, keeping them safe, and giving them the opportunity for a better life,” she said at the time.
“This is something that unites all American parents, whether we’re Republican, Democrat, Conservative or Liberal – we all want a better country for our children,” he said. The model urged the audience to vote not based on their political background but to provide a better life for their children.
Although the context of Rose’s and Beyoncé’s speeches was similar, the comments section did not take the former’s accusation seriously. “Sorry, he didn’t even notice you,” one user commented. Another wrote: “Saying you want to be Beyonce is just plain wrong.”
As far as the rally is concerned, unidentified users reportedly posted clips of participants leaving the rally in despair. Someone reportedly claimed that the incident was shameful, while someone threw gasoline on the dustbin fire. Harris has not yet responded to these claims.
