Actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha has opened up about his son Luv Sinha, who couldn’t attend his daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal. In a recent interview, the actor addressed the alleged family feud, and condemned the ‘smear campaign’ against Luv for his absence at the ceremony.
while talking Times NowSpeaking on the alleged family feud, Shatrughan Sinha said, “We have seen bigger problems than this. This is nothing. There is nothing to worry about. We were just like any other ordinary family where a wedding was taking place. Why did we become the target of so much attention? We did not ask for this.”
He added, “This is not the first time that such a marriage is taking place. Our family has faced the most brutal defamation campaign. Let me make it clear that I will not tolerate attacks on my family.”
When asked about his son’s absence at Sonakshi-Zaheer’s wedding, Shatrughan Sinha said it is better if family matters stay within the family. He said, “We may disagree and argue on some issues. But at the end of the day, we are a family. No one can break us.”
Talking about Sonakshi’s marriage, the actor said that he is confident that Zaheer will keep her happy.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married in a civil ceremony on June 23. The wedding was followed by a grand reception at Bastian in Mumbai. Anil Kapoor, Richa Chadha, Kajol, Rekha, Aditi Rao Hydari and other celebrities attended the grand party.
