Shatrughan Sinha breaks his silence on Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s marriage
India Today has exclusively learned that actress Sonakshi Sinha will marry actor and boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. Her father Shatrughan Sinha has finally reacted to the news of his daughter’s wedding.
Shatrughan Sinha finally broke his silence on the marriage of his daughter Sonakshi Sinha and her boyfriend and actor Zaheer Iqbal. In an interview ZoomShatrughan Sinha claimed that he has not spoken to anyone about his daughter’s wedding plans. He also said that whenever the couple tells them about the wedding, he and his wife will give their blessings. Earlier, we had reported that the couple will get married on June 23 in Mumbai.
Talking about Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding, Shatrughan was almost clueless. He said, “I am in Delhi right now. I came here after the election results. I have not spoken to anyone about my daughter’s plans. So your question is whether she is getting married? The answer is that she has not told me anything about it. I know only as much as I can from the media (I know as much as the media has told me). If she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will give our blessings to the couple. We always wish for her happiness.”
The actor-politician also said that his daughter has the right to make her own decisions. He said, “We have full faith in her decision. She will never take any decision that is unconstitutional or illegal. As an adult, she has the right to make her own decisions.”
After this he said, “I would like to say that whenever my daughter gets married, I would like to dance in front of the wedding procession.”
Shrutighan Sinha also reiterated that he is waiting to get information about the wedding. “People close to me are asking me why I am not aware of it and the media is aware of it. All I can say is, Kids these days don’t seek consent from their parents, they only inform them He said, “These days children don’t take permission from their parents, they just tell them. We are waiting to receive information.”
According to a report in IndiaToday.in, invitations have been sent to close friends and family members. The entire cast of ‘Heeramandi’ has also been invited.
The wedding invitation card is designed like a magazine cover and reads – ‘The rumours are true.’
Apart from this, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding celebrations will take place at Bastian in Mumbai.
Talking about work, Sonakshi was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series ‘Heeramandi’. The show is currently streaming on Netflix.
