In a recent conversation with PTI, Sharvari Wagh expressed her excitement about her YRF Spy Universe film, which will go on the floors this year in 2024.
Sharvari described the female-led action film as “the first of its kind”. Talking about the preparation for the film, she said, “There is a lot of intense training going behind it.”
While the actress didn’t go into detail about the project, she revealed that women are currently getting well-written roles and characters, making it an exciting time for her in the industry.
Sharvari said such films have consistently been directed by big superstars, so for her to work with the talented Alia Bhatt, who is highly admired, is a “big deal” and a “huge responsibility”.

The film, starring both the actresses in the lead, is directed by Shiv Rawail of The Railway Man fame. Earlier this year, Pinkvilla exclusively reported that Bobby Deol might join the film alongside Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
After his much-acclaimed performance in the 2023 film Animal, Bobby is set to play the antagonist once again.
According to a source close to the matter, “Bobby Deol will play a terrifying evil force in the film who will take on Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. The paperwork has been completed and Bobby is excited to begin shooting for the film in the second half of 2024.”
Pinkvilla also revealed that the film is expected to go on floors in July. A source revealed that Alia Bhatt has given herself two months to prepare for her appearance in the next chapter of the YRF Spy Universe. According to the source, it features the actress as a super soldier. The source further revealed, “The actress is training with experts and is excited to begin this journey from the end of July 2024.”
