“We knew that if we were with Dharam, we were safe,” he said, recalling how Dharmendra was a man of few words but extremely sweet. Recalling the time when he saved her from the mob, she said, “We didn’t have that kind of security then. He managed to get me out of there. I’m very sad that he’s gone.”
