The NSE Nifty index traded up 18.35 points to 25402.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 43.98 points to 83032.76 by 11:15AM (IST) on September 17.
Hero Motocorp Ltd (2.42 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd (1.32 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd (1.28 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd (1.21 per cent) and Divini Laboratories Ltd (up 0.91 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd. (down 2.05 percent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (1.18 percent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (1.14 percent), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 1.06 percent) and Tata Steel Ltd. (down 0.95 percent) were among the top losers.
