New Delhi: Vodafone Idea (No. of shares traded: 96.45 crore), GTL Infra (No. of shares traded: 85.95 crore), IRB Infra Dev. (No. of Shares Traded: 23.00 Crore), Yes Bank (No. of Shares Traded: 16.43 Crore), MTNL (No. of Shares Traded: 8.80 Crore), Indian Railway Fin (No. of Shares Traded: 8.64 Crore), Suzlon Energy (No. of Shares Traded: 7.66 crore), Indian Renewable (No. of shares traded: 7.38 crore), Mukka Proteins (No. of shares traded: 6.43 crore) and IFCI (No. of shares traded: 6.11 crore) emerged as the top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index rose 26.3 points to close at 24613.0, while the BSE Sensex gained 51.69 points to close at 80716.55.
On the other hand, Shriram Finance Ltd. (down 2.39 percent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (2.19 percent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (2.08 percent), Ultratech Cement Ltd. (down 1.48 percent) and NTPC Ltd. (down 1.35 percent) were among the day’s top losers.
