Shahrukh-Preity Zinta’s film Veer Zaara joins the 100 crore club after re-release
Yash Chopra’s timeless classic Veer-Zaara crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office upon re-release, proving that it is still loved by fans even after 20 years.

Director Yash Chopra’s 2004 hit Veer-Zaara proved that it remains as popular among audiences even after 20 years. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, the film has now crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the global box office. Recently re-released on September 13,
The film grossed Rs 23 lakhs in its re-release overseas, which is more than the Rs 1.80 crores it earned in September. The film had grossed Rs 30 lakhs during its earlier release in February this year.
The romantic saga had originally grossed Rs 61 crore in India and Rs 37 crore overseas, taking the total to Rs 98 crore. It has earned another Rs 2.5 crore in the last few years. The film has now grossed Rs 102.60 crore worldwide, breaching the Rs 100 crore mark.

Produced by Yash Raj Films, Veer-Zaara was Chopra’s third directorial venture with Shah Rukh Khan, having previously helmed Darr and Dil Toh Pagal Hai. The film also featured Preity, Rani Mukerji, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Manoj Bajpayee, Boman Irani, Kiran Kher, Anupam Kher and Divya Dutta. The story focuses on an Indian soldier and a Pakistani woman who fall in love but are separated after Shah Rukh’s character is imprisoned in Pakistan. Rani Mukerji’s character struggles to free him and reunite the couple after years of separation.
