Shahrukh Khan’s young Bald look was ‘casual’, makeup artist says: ‘He looked like a rock star’

Shah Rukh Khan is always known for his versatile roles and incredible changes. In 2023, he made a grand comeback on the big screen with a series of big hits, including Pathan, Jawan and Danki. Of these, his presence in the jawan, especially his bald form, became one of the most discussed aspects just after the first look surfaced. Interestingly, the jawan did not have plans from the beginning of the prestigious bald look.

In an interview with The Times of India, the film’s makeup and prosthetic actor, Preityil Singh D’Souza, revealed that the look was made by an accident during a test session. He explained that the team was initially trying a different wig and looking for Shah Rukh Khan’s character.

The makeup team put a bald hat on it with its salt and pepper beard for testing. However, when he removed the Wig, he saw some unexpected – Shah Rukh Khan’s bald look jointly made him separate with his beard. Pritichel D’Souza recalled, “For the first time we tested the look with our salt-and pepper beard and full bald form, she looked like a rock star.”

At that time, he realized that the look worked perfectly with the shape of Shah Rukh Khan’s face, and it was decided that he was fixed on the spot to include it in his character, Vikram Rathor, Jawan. The decision to go with this bald look was comfortable, but it became a big success with both fans and critics.

Shah Rukh Khan’s change for the jawan was not limited to his look, but also his body. The actors appeared in their recent films Liner and Sharper, impressed the audience with their dedication to their roles.

Pritichel D’Souza, who works with him on the Cola advertisement, shared that despite the age of 60, the SRK exploded and maintains an impressive physique even at his age.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his next film, King, who will first mark the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan to share the screen. The film is directed by Pathan director Siddharth Anand, and reports suggest that Abhishek Bachchan will never play a negative role in the film.
