Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 is scheduled to release in theaters in mid-June this year. Earlier reports were saying that Shahrukh Khan will be seen in a cameo role, but now it seems that Mohanlal’s stylist has hinted towards this.
Is Shahrukh Khan confirmed to appear in a cameo role in Jailer 2?
In a recent post on social media, Mohanlal’s stylist Jishad Shamsuddin shared an AI-generated image. The post shows actors Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Mohanlal and Shiv Rajkumar together, hinting at their possible presence in Jailer 2.
Sharing the post, the stylist wrote, “Kandippa Irukum,” which translates to “Definitely, it will be there.”

Jailer 2 is an upcoming sequel starring Rajinikanth in the lead role and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The action-comedy film will see the superstar reprising his role as “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian, with Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar also returning reprising their characters from the previous installment.
The film will also star Mithun Chakraborty and Vidya Balan in lead roles, while SJ Suryah is expected to play the negative role. Apart from this, actress Nora Fatehi is going to be seen in a special dance number.
Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan is expected to shoot for Jailer 2 for seven to eight days and may join the sets in March 2026. Since this part is said to be the final schedule of the film, the shooting of the sequel is expected to be over. However, this is an unconfirmed report, as the makers have not made any official announcement.
Rajinikanth’s work front
After Jailer 2, Rajinikanth will be seen in the lead role tentatively titled Thalaivar173. The film will be directed by Siby Chakraborty, known for Don and is expected to be a light-hearted action entertainer.
Initially, the project was to be directed by Sundar C. However, due to prior commitments, the filmmaker opted out of the film.
Apart from this, Rajinikanth will also be seen in an upcoming film titled KHxRK Reunion with Kamal Haasan. The film will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
