It’s a moment of celebration as the king of romance and his queen have reached another milestone in their marriage. We are talking about Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan, who are cherishing their 33-year long relationship as a married couple. On Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri’s wedding anniversary, let’s remember the time when the superstar admitted how his wife helped him stay grounded in the face of his “misbehaviour”.
During his appearance on Salman Khan’s show Dus Ka Dum in 2018, Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged his wife Gauri Khan as a friend supporting him in good and bad times.
Shahrukh told in the show that he often thinks about the definition of a friend. Referring to himself, the superstar expressed his sentiments saying that whenever a friend makes a mistake or does something bad, he should have a partner like Gauri. King Khan said that Gauri has taken care of him.
“I have made a lot of mistakes, I have misbehaved a lot… I have done a lot of bad things, but somewhere she has taken care of me a lot by keeping quiet. By keeping quiet about me,” he added.
Shahrukh Khan married Gauri Chhibber on 25 October 1991. They had a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Producer Vivek Vaswani, who was one of the guests at her wedding, recently revealed on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube channel that he took Gauri to Darjeeling to shoot the title song of Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. The producer later gifted the then newly married couple a five-day stay at the hotel.
Shahrukh once confirmed that he spent his honeymoon in Darjeeling. Shahrukh had said that he had taken Gauri there by making her believe that he was in Paris.
Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan have three children, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and Abram Khan. They welcomed their first child, son Aryan, in 1997. Suhana was born in 2000. In 2013, their younger son, Abram, was born via surrogacy.
On the work front, Shahrukh is prepping for Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming directorial King. The film also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma in lead roles.
