After achieving remarkable success worldwide and breaking several box office records last year, Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film ‘Jawaan’ is now set to take over the Japanese market. The film is scheduled to release in Japan on November 29, 2024.

Twin, a well-known distributor of Indian cinema in Japan, will handle the release of ‘Jawaan’ in the country, which will be the film’s first release in the Japanese market. Advance booking will begin on July 5, 2024, a full four months before the release. As a special gift, those who secure tickets in advance will receive exclusive posters featuring Shah Rukh Khan from the hit song ‘Chaleya’.

With this strategic release, ‘Jawaan’ is set to make a significant impact in Japan, further enhancing its global presence and strengthening Shah Rukh Khan’s international appeal.

Earlier, Japanese video game designer Hideo Kojima had praised Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’ and showed his love for the work of the Bollywood superstar.

Kojima had tweeted last year, “Been very busy these days, mentally and physically exhausted. Need to refill my high-octane tank. So, I watched the Indian film ‘Pathan’ in IMAX! Well, it was amazing! I was stunned! It opened up my blood vessels! It was MAD MAX level of energy! After watching it, I think I’ll be able to hold it for a while! Mission Impossible, 007, RRR, John Woo, the whole movies! Some Metal Gear elements too! Got applause after the screening. Highly recommended! (sic).”

‘Jawan’ was a massive hit, grossing Rs 761.98 crore in India and Rs 386.34 crore internationally within just a few days of its first release last year. Overall, it grossed Rs 1148.32 crore worldwide, cementing its status as a massive success.
