The 1998 film Dil Se proved to be one of the most successful films in the careers of Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala, with Preity Zinta also making her debut in a supporting role. The film also starred veteran actress and fine theatre artiste Mita Vashisht.

Mita Vashisht shares her experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan in Dil Se
Senior TV and film actress Mita Vashisht is known to be a part of projects like Chandni, Taal, Tarpan, Drohkaal, Good Luck Jerry and many more. She also played a pivotal role in Mani Ratnam’s romantic thriller Dil Se, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala in the lead roles.
While talking to The Lallantop about her film career, the actress also shared her experience of working with the young actor. She went back in time and recalled the moment when she shot an action scene with Shah Rukh. Mita said that working with the donkey actor was a great experience.
Talking about Dil Se, she said that they had shot a scene in which King Khan had to push her over rocks. Knowing that he could hurt her, the actor told Mita that he would cover her head with his hands and then push her so that the head would not get hurt. Although she was impressed by how sensitive Shah Rukh was during the shoot, she also expressed disappointment that the scene was later removed from the film.

In the same interview, Mita also revealed that Shah Rukh had suffered a head injury while shooting a scene. However, he remained calm and cooperative towards the entire team. She also recalled how excited Shah Rukh made his fans during the shoot.
On reaching the set, he saw that Shah Rukh was standing with his back towards the crowd. But when he turned towards the crowd before the shot, everyone went crazy. Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in King with his daughter Suhana Khan.
