Actor Shah Rukh Khan stays up late at night, this is well known to his millions of fans. But did you know that the actor eats only once a day or that he never skips going to the gym, even if it means a half-hour workout session? In a recent interview, Shah Rukh talked about his daily routine.

Shahrukh told The Guardian He eats only once a day, not because he is following intermittent fasting, but because it is his personal choice.

He said, “I go to sleep at five in the morning. When Mark Wahlberg (American actor) gets up, I go to sleep. And then if I’m shooting I get up around nine or ten. But then I come home at two, take a shower and then work out before going to bed.”

During the same interview, the 55-year-old actor also revealed that he was an “athlete” when he entered the Indian film industry. During his early days of acting, he also dreamt of becoming an action hero.

“When I came into the industry, I was an athlete. My life’s dream was to have a six-pack, wear a white vest, have a woman on my arm, have blood on my face and a gun in my hand. My dream was to walk into a room, someone asks me: ‘Who are you?’ and shoot them,” Shah Rukh said.

Shah Rukh Khan was recently honoured with the Pardo alla Carriera award at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. Talking about his love for awards and award ceremonies, Shah Rukh joked, “I enjoy it. I’m very shameless about it. I love getting awards. I love ceremonies.”

However, Shah Rukh Khan “gets nervous” at international award functions as he has to control his “humour” and represent Indian cinema. “I have to be on my best behaviour. Because cinema is a very important thing for India,” the actor said.

Shahrukh Khan will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s film. KingWhich he officially confirmed at the Locarno Film Festival. His daughter Suhana Khan is also expected to be a part of this film, in which Abhishek Bachchan will play the villain.
