Sanya Malhotra, who shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Jaawaan, often reflects on her experience of working with the superstar. In a recent interview, the actress recalled the moment when Shahrukh advised her not to think too much. He also revealed that during car rides, the actor loved listening to his own songs.
While speaking to Mashable India, Sanya Malhotra was asked about the life-changing advice she received from Shah Rukh Khan. She remembered that he had encouraged her to stop thinking too much about life or work. He shared that following his advice has had a positive impact on him.
When asked about their conversations during the car ride, Malhotra revealed that instead of talking, they simply listened to Khan’s songs.
In an old interview with News18, Sanya shared her thoughts on working with Shahrukh Khan in Jawan. He described the experience as “surreal” but stressed that his primary focus was on learning from it.
The Kathal actress admitted that as a devoted fan of Shah Rukh, the opportunity to work with him was something she could never refuse. Sanya recalls being charmed by his professionalism and demeanor, saying that she was amazed at how he lived on and off the set, and now she completely understands why he is so universally loved.
She said how unique the experience was, considering the film’s predominantly female cast featured strong roles. Sanya highlighted that Jawan challenged the typical narrative in Indian cinema, where male heroes often lead films about women’s issues.
Instead, Shah Rukh Khan’s character brought together five strong women, acknowledging their strengths and struggles as they set out on a mission bigger than themselves.
He praised Shah Rukh for his respect and equality towards women and mentioned that he would always stand up to welcome female co-stars or technicians on the sets, treating everyone equally.
Malhotra commented that this respect for women is evident in the films he chooses and the way he portrays women in his work.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Khan will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s film King alongside Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
