Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan rules the hearts of many. Not just his fans, but his co-stars also praise his generosity and kindness. Recently, veteran actor Pramod Pathak spoke about his experience of working with Khan in Raees and revealed that despite being a star, Khan’s entire focus remains on his work.
Pramod Pathak worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Rahul Dholakia’s film Raees. He was seen playing the role of the Chief Minister of Gujarat in the film. Recently, during a conversation on the AR Discovery podcast, the veteran actor talked about his experience of working on the film. He told that he had to give 3-4 screen tests for this role, after which he was finalized.
Praising King Khan, the actor said that people might assume that since Shah Rukh Khan is a superstar, he must be very powerful and scary. “But he is a very simple person. He comes to the set in character. He is completely focused on his work,” Pramod said.
He further said that the King actor never made him feel that he is a superstar. The actor said that if they liked each other’s scenes, they would easily discuss. The Raees co-star said that it was easy to work with him as he would take suggestions and also share his opinions. He further added, “He did not have any ego or star attitude. It was like two characters working together.”
The Mirzapur actor shared that it wasn’t like they were chatting. Rather, they would practice their scenes before the shoot and return. Pathak admitted that she was told how people often get nervous in front of King Khan because of his ‘superstar status’. However, she didn’t feel anything like that, and it was a seamless shoot that went quite smoothly with the superstar.
Calling working with Shah Rukh a “great experience”, the veteran actor said he had no ego or star attitude. “It was like two characters working together,” he said.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees starred Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles. The film was released during the Republic Day weekend in 2017.
