Actress Shabana Azmi, who will next be seen in ‘Bun Tikki’ opposite Zeenat Aman, opened up about her bond with the veteran actor. The two have reunited after a long gap of 40 years for this upcoming film, which is produced by designer Manish Malhotra.

In an interview Hindustan TimesShabana said that although she has not been very close to Zeenat, she has always found her to be a humble and encouraging person. Shabana said, “I have not been very close to Zeenat in the last few years, but she has always been a very humble and encouraging person.”

Recalling her early days when she first worked in 1974, Shabana revealed that despite Zeenat being a big star at the time, she never behaved like a diva and was always friendly, even to newcomers like herself and actress Zarina Wahab.

Talking about this, he said, “I remember when I first worked with her in Ishq Ishq Ishq (1974), (actor) Zarina Wahab and I were absolute newbies while she was a huge star. But she didn’t show her weight and looked effortless on the set. This is a quality I still see in her and I think it’s very special about her,” he added.

‘Bun Tikki’ is a movie starring Zeenat Aman, Shabana Azmi. and Abhay Deol. The film is directed by Faraz Arif Ansari, who also directed ‘Sheer Qorma’. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Dinesh Malhotra and Marijke Desouza under Manish Malhotra’s Stage 5 Productions. The film is also backed by Jio Studios.
