Lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar has responded against the recent comments of Pakistani actor Bushra Ansari against him. In a calm but clear statement during an interview, Akhtar questioned Ansari’s rights that he asked him to “remain calm”.
Bushra Ansari had earlier made fun of Akhtar on social media, saying that “he could not even find a house in Mumbai” and “he should remain silent like Naseeruddin Shah.” Akhtar did not keep back in his reply.
“He said that Naseeruddin Shah is silent, so I should also do it. But who is it when I should decide when I should speak? Who gave him right?” Akhtar asked in an interview Lallantop,
He further said, “Yes, we Indians have our internal issues. But when anyone from outside indicates fingers, I am first and an Indian. I will not be silent.”
Responding to the claim that he could not find a house in Mumbai, Akhtar laughed and said, “Yes, of course! Shabana and I are sleeping on the streets now.”
Then he explained the story that could be rumored. “About 25 years ago, Shabana wanted to buy a flat. The broker told us that the owner did not want to sell Muslims because his family was dropped from Sindh during partition. This anger came from his personal pain, not religion. So how can Bushra Ansari bend and use against me?”
The entire issue began after Akhtar’s recent speech Gauravashali Maharashtra FestivalWhere he strongly condemned the killing of 26 tourists by terrorists in Pahgam. ,Ye Baat Humin Bhulni Nahi Chhahe, this is Mamoli Butt Nahi (This is something that we should not forget; this is not a small case), ”Akhtar said.
Ansari reacted fast and said, “Unko toh Bash Bahana Chahiye. There was a Nahi Milta on Maken rent in Bombay (He just needed to make an excuse … that he could not find a house to rent in Bombay) “He also said,” “Shut up Naseeruddin Shah Bho Toh Choop (Shut up. Even Naseeruddin Shah is calm) ”
But Javed Akhtar made it clear – he would not be silent. “They should look at their own history before indicating the fingers on us,” he said.
