Sennheiser HDB 630 launched in India, promising true audiophile sound with wireless technology
Wireless technology, active noise cancellation and audiophile sound – these three things don’t go together. But Sennheiser promises that its new flagship HDB 630 headphones can deliver all that and more to users. HDB 630 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 44,990.

A few months after being unveiled globally, the Sennheiser HDB 630 is now in India. The headphones were launched on Friday at a price of Rs 44,990. Now this may seem a bit harsh but it is not considering what a promising HDB 630 it is. In a way it’s promising the holy grail of the audio world, which is top-class sound in a wireless headphone. To sweeten the deal, Sennheiser is also offering Accentum Open earbuds worth Rs 12,990 for free to users who pre-book the HDB 630.
Looking at everything that the Sennheiser HDB 630 has to offer, it is a product meant for audiophiles or all those who want their music to sound better and fuller. In other words, according to Sennheiser, all they want is “uncompromised, high-fidelity sound wherever they go.”
The main trick the Sennheiser HDB 630 is using to deliver this is the BTD700 Hi-Res Bluetooth dongle, a USB-C accessory that ensures whatever device you pair the headphones with will receive 24-bit and 96kHz high-resolution playback. Furthermore, the HDB 630 has been engineered to deliver high-quality sound. Sennheiser says it has neutral tuning, refined mids and wide treble that allow it to deliver a natural soundstage that remains true to the way the music was recorded.
The Sennheiser HDB 630 comes with a “newly developed transducer design with an optimized magnet mesh and acoustic back volume that ensures cleaner bass, smooth mids and airy treble, a vibrant mids, stunning detail and a wide soundstage, creating a lively listening experience, even in closed-back form.”
Introducing the headphones in India, Sahil Kumar, General Manager, Sonova Consumer Hearing, said, “The HDB 630 redefines what wireless audiophile sound can be. It brings together Sennheiser’s acoustic craftsmanship, advanced tuning and long-lasting comfort – allowing listeners to experience true sonic fidelity, wherever life takes them.”
Recently, even in India, we have started to see audio brands introducing products that aim to recreate premium sound – something that audiophiles previously got in wired cans like the famous Sennheiser HD600 – even in wireless products.
Typically, wireless headphones, while great at active noise cancellation and bass-boosted sound, fail when it comes to overall sound quality. Due to the limitations of technology, they often produce a sound that is soulful and rarely catchy or comprehensive. Earlier we saw JBL bringing some of its audio-centric products, notably the JBL Tour One M3 and JBL Tour Pro 3, to India. Now, we have Sennheiser bringing the HDB 630. And while these products cost a little more than regular wireless headphones, paying the extra may be worth it for many audiophiles.
So, will the Sennheiser HDB 630 deliver refined sound and satisfy your discerning ears? Stay tuned, we’ll take a closer look at this soon.
