Selena Gomez can’t get enough of her engagement ring and TBH, neither can we. A week after announcing her engagement to Benny Blanco, the 32-year-old Calm Down singer shared a fresh set of photos of her sparkling marquise-sized diamond ring.
The focus of Gomez’s first Instagram story, shared on Thursday, December 19, was a rock set with the band Diamond Eternity. The mirror selfie also highlighted Gomez’s round-shaped manicure, the same style she was seen wearing when Blanco popped the question.
The Rare Beauty founder was all smiles while wearing a black top under a maroon coat. Her short brown hair was styled in a side part.
Along with her latest accessory, the Only Murders in the Building star was also seen sporting large dangling earrings, soft makeup, nude lips and simple eye makeup.
Gomez’s second story featured a video of her outdoors, in which she held her left hand toward the sun to make her diamond ring shine more. “Sorry, last post… I’ve dreamed of this moment my whole life,” she wrote in the short clip.
Earlier in the day, Blanco, 36, took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the engagement. Sharing the same post Gomez uploaded to announce their engagement on December 11, the music producer expressed disbelief, saying he still couldn’t believe they were engaged. He followed that up with an Instagram video originally posted on Saturday, December 14, showing the two clinking champagne glasses together.
The video appears to have been taken during their soundstage engagement, which initially gave fans the illusion that Blanco got down on one knee on an outdoor winter picnic date. After the proposal, a source told People that the arrangement Blanco made was very Selena-core and was a complete surprise to her.
The source said that after the engagement — which included the multi-hyphenate’s favorite Taco Bell meal — the two hosted a casual gathering to share the news with their close friends and family.
Gomez and Blanco began dating in June 2023 and made their romance public in December.
