Sarah Rafferty and her co-star Rick Hoffman recently reminisced about working together on the set of their hit legal drama series Suits. In the series that ran for nine seasons, ending on September 25, 2019, Rafferty played Donna Roberta Paulsen, while Hoffman played Louis Marlow Litt. Sarah Rafferty and her co-star Rick Hoffman recently reunited at the 2024 Epic Cons, where they talked about their experience working on Suits and how they improved certain scenes. According to People magazine, when asked to share their favorite memory from the set of Suits, they replied that it was hard to pick one.
Hoffman said, “When you’ve been in a job you love for nine years, I can’t break it down into one.” The actor explained, “There are so many people you love working with, so break it down into one,” he added, “To give you this answer, I wish I could honestly tell you it’s one memory.”

His co-star Rafferty recalled a Season 1 scene she often recalls, describing how her character Donna enters Lewis’s office hiding the ticket in her shirt and then places it on the desk in front of him.
The All Things Valentine actress said they “had to improvise most of that (scene),” adding, “A lot of the time when we were working together, we had to improvise things.” Rafferty explained that the camera was left rolling, which allowed them to continue beyond what was shown on screen, adding, “It got pretty funny, and that kind of laughter, I miss that in my life — laughing with Rick.”
Hoffman then said that having the freedom to explore his character was the most “liberating and exciting” experience creatively, describing those moments as thrilling and full of excitement.
During her candid chat on the show, the Chicago Med actress also confessed that she has kept a few mementos from the set to preserve a part of her character Donna Paulsen. “I’ve stolen a whole lot of crap, a lot of clothes, I have Donna’s sofa… I don’t think anybody would come for me. I have some nice clothes. A lot of my shoes actually have ‘Donna’ written on them,” the actress said.
