Sankranthiki Vasthunam, starring Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead role, was released in theaters on 14 January, 2025. After a tremendous run at the box office, the film is waiting for its digital debut, which is likely to happen soon.
Now, according to a report by OneIndia, it is estimated that the film’s digital rights were purchased by the OTT platform ZEE5 to Rs 27 crore. Even though the film’s digital rights were purchased by the forum, he decided to broadcast the film on TV before making his debut online.
Due to this, the official date of the film for the OTT release is yet to be declared by the stage despite its dramatic release being more than a month.
The film is an action-comedy film about the film, starring Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead role. The film revolves around the story of a former IPS officer, YD Raju, who lives a strange life with his wife in a village.
However, when a high-profile kidnapping case emerges, his ex-girlfriend, who is an investigating officer, wants help. As both teams to resolve the case, there is doubt about the loyalty of the man’s wife, her husband, decide to join them.
The rest of the story sets the stage for a recreational ride filled with action and comedy. Apart from Venkatesh, the film includes Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary as co-leaders. It includes a contingent of artists in decisive roles, including Srinivas Reddy, Sai Kumar, Upendra Limay, Raghu Babu, Naresh, and many others.
The film, directed by Anil Ravipudi, marks the third cooperation of the director with the lead actor after the F2 and F3. Amidst the success of the film, Venkatesh Daggubati confirmed that the sequel to Sankranthi Vastunam would be released on Shankantha in 2027.
Coming on the work front of an experienced actor, Venkatesh Daggubati will soon be seen re -her role as Naga Naidu with Rana Naidu’s second season on Netflix.
