Samsung Unveils the First 130″ Micro RGB TV at CES 2026

Samsung recently unveiled the world’s first 130″ Micro RGB TV. It’s an improvement over the 115″ model it showed off in August. The design of the new TV – model R95H – is “inspired by a grand architectural window frame”.

However, its titanic size is not its only accomplishment. The Verband der Elektrotechnik has certified it for accurate Micro RGB color reproduction. It covers 100% of the BT.2020 wide color gamut. Additionally, it features Micro RGB Color Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro, as well as AI-based color and contrast enhancing algorithms. And if your room has a real window, the glare free technology will help reduce reflections.

Samsung’s 2026 TV lineup, including this 130″ behemoth, is the first to support HDR10+ Advanced. This is the latest version of the royalty-free HDR10+ format, which is supported by Samsung and Amazon Prime Video (it serves as a free alternative to Dolby Vision).

The standard supports color depths between 10-bit and 16-bit and up to 10,000 nits of brightness. Advanced features include genre-based optimization, local tone mapping, advanced color controls, and intelligent motion smoothing that work on a scene-by-scene basis. The Adaptive Cloud Gaming mode is interesting because it supports real-time ambient lighting.

Anyway, the Samsung R95H TV is packed with AI tech, including Vision AI Companion (which enables conversational search), Proactive Recommendations, Live Translation, AI Sound Controller Pro, AI Football Mode Pro, and more. Third-party AI services are also supported – Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity.

If you’re in Las Vegas, you can swing by the Samsung exhibit area at CES 2026 and experience the 130″ Micro RGB TV in person. If not, well, we don’t dare ask about the price (the 115″ model is $30,000).

“Micro RGB represents the pinnacle of our picture quality innovation, and the new 130-inch model takes that vision even further. We’re reviving the spirit of our original design philosophy, introduced more than a decade ago, to deliver an unmistakable premium display engineered with technology for a new generation,” said Hun Lee, executive vice president of visual display (VD) business at Samsung Electronics.
