Foldables and watches coming
In the middle of the year of Samsung, the Galaxy Unpacked event focuses on the next generation foldables, but also brings new smartwatches. This year, we are waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 Foldable Family and Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic and Watch 8 Ultra to wear from family.
Let’s take a close look at each.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 promises an “ultra” experience, although it will not be branded in this way. The phone features 200MP main camera (S25 Ultra and Z Fold Special Edition). However, other cameras will mostly be the same -10 MP telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide. Two selfie cameras will be inside the cover display and 4MP under-display inside the module. Samsung has teased AI facilities for the camera as AI remains a large part of the Galaxy identity.

With this generation, meditation is on dropping the Z fold down – Samsung says that it will be the thinnest and the lightest horizontal fold. It is not yet officially confirmed the dimensions, but the rumor information suggests that 8.9 mm is folded and 4.2 mm is unfolded and 215 grams. We have heard the numbers less as 3.9 mm, but it may be a question of which part is measured. For comparison, Z fold 6 is 12.1 mm and 5.6 mm, which weighs 239g, so it is a major redesign. Even Z fold special version is 10.6 mm and 4.9 mm. Note that the camera island is not included in these measurements.

However, the thin build comes at a cost – the phone will have a battery capacity of 4,400mAh similar to its predecessor. The European Union’s energy label has shown that it would be sufficient for 40 hours and 28 minutes on a charge, which would be slightly longer than the S25 edge. The battery will bicycle at least 2,000 charge before leaving up to 80% of its original capacity.
The label also revealed that the Galaxy Z fold 7 would have an IP48 dust and water resistance rating, which is no longer the top imagination for a foldable. It will have excellent drop resistance and average repair capacity.
Chipset is not surprising – we have already seen foldable run geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. We think it will be equipped with 12GB RAM and will have three storage tier: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. Leak prices suggest that the base model will be around € 2,300 around € 2,200 and 512GB options – this is an increase of € 200 compared to the previous model. Of course, pre-order allowances will include a free storage upgrade most.

The Samsung Galaxy Z fold 7 will be available in three colors, blue shadows, silver shadows and jet black, as well as many colors that will be exclusive to units sold through Samsung.com.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 Fe
The rising cost is a concern, so Samsung is expected to launch a cheap flip foldable this year, which will borrow most of its design from last year’s Z Flip 6.
The premium model will be Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7. It will have an edge-to-edge cover display, 4.1 “as compared to the” folder “-shaped 3.4” display of its predecessor. It will also be slim, folded 13.7 mm and will be revealed with a weight of 6.5 mm 188g. For comparison, the 2024 model measured 14.9 mm and 6.9 mm and weighed 187g. It is not dramatic as is a change with Z fold, but is appreciated.
Even better, Z Flip7 will have a large battery – 4,300mAh, which is 300mAh more than Z Flip6 and Fe. The Fe model is likely to have the same dimension as the Z Flip6.

The Z Flip7 will be available in jet black, blue shadow and coral red (some samsung.com exclusive color), while Fe will have a greater original color palette of black and white. You can see the render above, which also show the difference in cover display.
The two models will also vary in processing power – we think the Samsung premium will put the brand’s new Exynos 2500 inside the Z Flip7, although a Snapdragon 8 elite version can be sold in North America and China. Meanwhile, the Z Flip7 Fe ​​was benchmark with the old Exynos 2400. The fe had only 8GB of RAM according to benchmark results and will be introduced with 128GB and 256GB storage. The premium Z Flip7 will have more RAM, 12GB and storage, 256/512GB.
Samsung will introduce a new UI 8 (based on Android 16) with new Z foldables. He said, Galaxy S25 units are already doing beta tests.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 took the price of approximately € 1,400/£ 1,200 for the 512GB unit, which is more than 512GB Z Flip6 over € 100 over the last year. For the Galaxy Z Flip7 Fe, it will be KRW 1 million in Korea, which will probably translate $ 800/€ 800/£ 700.
Pre-order and release dates
Samsung usually puts new models on pre-order after the unpacked event ends and waits two weeks before going into open sales. This means that the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 fe will be available for pre-order from July 9 and will be released on 25 July (the release is traditionally on Friday). Samsung US is already running an initial reservation campaign, which can purify you $ 50 coupons.

Galaxy tri-folded
Samsung is expected to show a trin-folded smartphone at an unpacked event on Wednesday, stating that it has 6.49 “covers and 9.96” main displays. However, its very limited availability can be – leaks suggest that it will be sold only in two countries, Korea and China, and only in a very limited number of it.

The tri-folded model appeared in a UI8 code, which indicates that it is a real product instead of only a prototype to show in the event. Nevertheless, most people will have to wait by next year if they want Galaxy Tri-foldable. And given the price increase for Z fold 7, we think it is best if you do not ask how much it will cost (not that we know).
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic and Watch 8 Ultra
Samsung introduced a “square” design for the original Galaxy Watch Ultra and now the entire watch 8 families are ready to adopt it. Here are three upcoming model renders: Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic and Watch 8 Ultra.

As you can see from the render, the ultra also has a rotating bezel (surrounding the screen) and a crown. Vanilla Watch 8 has only two buttons. Ultra model also has a crown, but we don’t think it does not think its bezel rotates.
There will be no new smartwatch chipset this year, all three models are expected to use the Exynos W1000 from last year. The first two must be available in Bluetooth and 4G variants, while Ultra is likely to abandon the base Bluetooth variants and be available with only 4G.
A new OS version is also coming in Samsung’s wearbals, a UI 8 watch. This will focus on health with things such as gold guidance, vascular load and antioxidant features, as well as an advanced running coach.

The Galaxy Watch 8 will have a slightly larger battery than its predecessor, a modest 10mAh collision on the 44 mm edition. Watch 8 and Watch 8 will support classic 10W charging, which is equal to the previous model.
By the way, someone was selling Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic Prototype on eBay. It was a 46 mm LTE model with 64GB storage – it is double that the Watch is 7 and Watch Ultra.
