Samsung is reportedly working on a TRAI-folded smartphone, which can be named Galaxy G Fold, and a new details about its performance have come out. According to industry analyst Ross Young, the device is expected to facilitate a 6.49 -inch cover display, similar to the rumor Galaxy Z Fold 7. However, when fully surfaced, the Galaxy G fold may have a massive 10 -inch screen, which can lead to it. The company’s current full -sized foldable phone, a major step from the Galaxy Z fold 6, with a 7.6 -inch internal display.

The design of Samsung’s Tri-Thuni phone is said to be different from contestants like Huawei’s Met XT, which uses an S or Z-shaped folding mechanism that highlights the part of the screen. Instead, Samsung’s device is rumored to use G-style folding mechanisms, where the display is fold in both sides. The design is expected to improve stability by preserving the screen when folded. Interestingly, the 6.49-inch cover display size first mark the departure from the narrow screen seen on the Galaxy Z fold model, such as the Z fold 6. This change can make the device a handier more practical, even whenever not fully revealed. ,

Samsung is also asked to develop a new type of performance and protective film especially for the Galaxy G fold. Given the complexity of the manufacture of such a tool, the production volume is expected to be limited. This can give the phone a position as a high-end, experimental offering instead of the mainstream flagship. For the launch timeline, the Galaxy G fold is rumored to be introduced later this year, but will not be available for purchase by January 2026.

When it comes to pricing, Galaxy G is unlikely to be cheaper. For reference, Huawei’s Met XT was launched in China at around $ 2,800 (about Rs 2,43,000), and Samsung’s Tri-Guna phone is expected to land in a uniform price range. This will make it one of the most expensive smartphones in the market, which targets a niche audience of early adopts. In addition, the name – the Galaxy G fold, is an interesting option in itself, as it breaks to foldables from Samsung’s installed Z branding.

In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy G Guna is expected to measure 9.96 inches when fully surfaced with a height of 6.54 inches. Although it can share a similar weight with Huawei Mate XT, Samsung’s device is rumored to be slightly thicker.
