Samsung has pulled the cover a few weeks before its latest premium chipset – Exynos 2500 – in July in July in July. The new Exynos 2500, the successor of 4Nm Exynos 2400, is built on the Samsung’s 3nm GAA process. The chipset is also officially listed and entered the production on a large scale, which is a big sign that we can see it inside one of the upcoming phone of the brand. The most obvious candidate? The Galaxy Z Flip 7, which has long been rumored to dig the Snapdragon this year in favor of Samsung’s in-house silicon. The leak has consistently pointed the exynos 2500 to power the Galaxy Z Flip 7 globally, and now announced at the end with the chip, the time cannot tell much.
What EXYNOS 2500 brings to the table, has a powerful CPU layout with a Cortex-X5 core (also known as Cortex-X 925) running at 3.3GHz, supported by a mixture of Cortex-A725 Corps (two clock 2.74GHz and five 2.36GHz. Also comes with 950 GPU, which supports 4K 120Hz displays and even adds hardware-based rays to better gaming visuals, it supports 320-megapixel cameras, 8k videos on 30fps, and UFS 4.0 storage with LPDDR5X RAM.
On the connectivity front, Exynos 2500 mmwave 5G, Satellite Connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, uses Exynos 5400 modem with support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and downloads up to 12.1GBPS. Samsung is also talking a big thing about the on-device AI capabilities of the chip, claiming that the new NPU can handle 59 trillion operations per second, according to the company, the Axinos is about 39 percent better than 2400.
Now, if we go back to the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the upcoming foldable has a huge rumor to be operated by Exinos 2500. In doing this, it will also become the first Samsung fold to be operated by this chipset, as all Galaxy folders (folds and flip) in the past are operated by flagship Snapdragon chipset.
Other rumors about Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 refer to a 6.85-inch internal screen with a slightly larger 4-inch cover display. Like last year’s model, Z Flip 7 is asked to maintain the same 4,000mAh battery and camera setup, leading a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The phone can also be launched as a standard with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. At its core of Exynos 2500, Samsung may be aim to improve both AI performance and battery efficiency.
Everyone said, Samsung has not officially confirmed which phones will get chip, but in a few weeks with the launch of Galaxy Z Flip 7, we will not have to wait too long to find out.
