Samsung has launched with two new smartwatch-galaxy watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 unpacked 2025 events, focusing on better rest, advanced health tracking and AI-in-operated insight. Galaxy Watch 8 is now the thinnest and lightest smartwatch of Samsung, thanks to a fully renovated internal structure and a greasy design. It is also the first smartwatch series to ship exit outside the box, with Gemini AI Assistant Built-in of Google.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic Launched
Samsung has replaced the Galaxy Watch 8 series with inside out. Regular Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic both now adopt the first viewed cushion shape on the Galaxy Watch Ultra, but are quite thin and lighter than the previous model. Samsung says that the watch 8 is now 11 percent slimmer, which has better wrist stability, and is more comfortable fit for the whole day’s wear.
The Galaxy Watch comes in 8 sizes – 40 mm (30 g) and 44 mm (34 g) – and in graphite and silver color options. The Galaxy Watch is a slight bulk at 8 classic 46 mm and 63.5 grams, and is available in black and white. Both clocks use sapphire crystals at the front, with super amoled full-colored display. The 44 mm Watch 8 has a 1.47-inch (480×480) screen, while both 40 mm and classic model has a 1.34-inch (438×438) panel.
Under the hood, Samsung has equipped both models with the new Exynos W1000 chipset built on the 3Nm process. Regular Galaxy Watch 8 comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the Galaxy Watch 8 doubles the classic storage to 64GB. The battery on the Watch 8 classic is rated at 445mAh. At Watch 8, you get 435mAh battery on 44 mm variants and 325mAh battery on 40 mm model. Both support fast wireless charging.
Both watches are equipped with a bright performance-up to 3,000 NIT-and more power-skilled processors. Better tracking accuracy, plus Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, and double frequency GPS (L1+ L5) support for NFC. They have been rated 5atm + IP68 with MIL-STD-810H stability. The compatibility extends to 12 or more android with at least 1.5GB of RAM.
Samsung has also added new health matrix this year, such as antioxidant index and vascular load, which gives better photographs of your body stress level and aging process. Sleep tracking has also improved, including more individual insight, including guidance and detection of sleep apnea at bedtime.
One of the more interesting additions is a new energy score, which gives a daily snapshot of your overall energy levels based on sleep, activity and stress. There is also support for high stress alerts, breathing exercises and mood logging directly from the clock.
Fitness enthusiasts also get a group of updates like a better running coach, which offers a score between 1 and 10 and recommends analog workout plans. Samsung’s simultaneous facility now supports running, allowing friends to compete or train together.
The Galaxy Watch 8 series runs on Wear OS 6 and introduces a fresh UI 8 watch interface. You get adaptable multi-info tiles, a new now bar, and better notification handling, making major action and health matrix more accessible.
Pricing for India has not yet appeared, but in the US, Watch 8 is priced at $ 349.99 (about Rs 29,900) for the 40mm Wi-Fi version and $ 399.99 (about Rs 34,300) for the LTE version. The 44mm variant Wi-Fi version is priced at $ 379.99 (about Rs 32,600), while the LTE model is priced at $ 429.99 (about Rs 36,800). The Watch 8 starts at $ 499.99 (about Rs 42,800) for the 8 classic Wi-Fi model, with the price of LTE variant $ 549.99 (about Rs 47,100).
