Samsung has been working on a triple-screen foldable for a while. According to the latest reports, the company may finally reveal the device by the end of this month.

Samsung was the first brand to launch a mass-market foldable smartphone with Galaxy folds in 2019. However, the Korean giant missed the bus, when it came to the triple-screen foldables, as Huawei launched Huawei Met XT at the end of 2024, the Chinese phone manufacturer planned to launch its second generation triple-scraction soon.
Now, Samsung is allegedly preparing to catch in the race. According to Tipster Ice Universe, the Korean giants will launch the Galaxy Z Trifold on 29 September in their domestic market. However, there is no official word of release yet.
The phone will be displayed as part of Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event. However, there will not be the only talking point for a trifold event.
The report claimed that Samsung’s much -awaited XR headset (codenmed project Mohan) will also break the cover on the same day. Another product for the end of September is Samsung Galaxy AR Glasses.

Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold: What do you expect?
The Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold is expected to be operated by Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset. The same SOC Power is Samsung’s other flagship phones, including Z fold 7.
In a separate leak by @techhighest on X, a tutorial video shows some features of Samsung Tripold. The clip shows a different folding solution by Samsung compared to Huawei’s friend XT.
The Z TRIFOLD can use the screen on the right as the base, folding the other two sections inwards. On the other hand, Huawei uses a g-thuna layout, where the left and right side of the screen bend at the center.
Additionally, Samsung Z can come with wireless charging support and NFC according to the Z -TRIFULD video. The device will also support reverse wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold is expected to be launched at around $ 3,000 (about Rs 2,64,000). The device can be placed on sale earlier next month.
Beyond the rumor incident on 29 September, Samsung is already set for an unpacked event for 4 September. The Korean giant will probably release the Galaxy S25 Fe with the Galaxy S11 series.
Interestingly, Huawei is expected to launch Met XTS on 4 September, the original partner of XT. Met XTS will possibly be operated by Huawei’s Hisilicon Kirin 9020-Series Chip. However, the device will probably be limited to China’s release with Samsung’s trifold, which would be the only triple-screen foldable with global availability.
