Samsung suddenly found himself a catch-up in foldable space, with Chinese brands tools ahead of their hardware and matched with its software. Now South Korean is ready to strike back with the brand-new Galaxy Z fold 7 at the end. This is certainly the largest update for Z fold series over the years, with large screen, a thin chassis and a 200MP main camera.
At 215 grams, the Galaxy Z fold 7 Galaxy S25 is lighter than the ultra and is 24 grams lighter than the Z fold compared to the previous year.
The new armor flexing and armor aluminum frame housing helped drop the Z fold 7 down. It measures when it is 8.9 mm thick when folded and only 4.2 mm thick.

These dimensions are in line with the latest crop of foldables from China such as Honor Magic V5 and Vivo X Fold 5, so Samsung can finally contest on that front.
But Z fold 7 is just more than a slim and light foldable, it also gets the largest display in the series. The main screen now measures 8.0 inches, while the cover display comes at 6.5 inches, and more importantly, it is a wide 21: 9 aspect ratio, which makes it more ergonomic for typing and general use.
Both panels are still dynamic AMOLED 2X variety with a variable 1–120Hz refresh rate, and they are very bright up to 2,600 notes. The cover screen has a gorilla glass ceramic 2 protection and a 10MP selfie camera.
Samsung used a new generation of its ultra-r glass (UTG) on the main 8.0 ”display, which is 50% thicker than before. Samsung also removed the under-display camera on the main screen and opted for a more traditional 10MP punches.

We can go over the cameras when we are talking about the back. Samsung added 200MP sensors (isocell HP2) for the main camera – the same use it on S25 Ultra. It is a 24 mm equivalent 1/1.3 “sensor with f/1.7 aperture and OIS.
The chipset department is not very surprised because the trustee for Samsung Galaxy went with Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is capable of configuring 12/16 GB RAM and 256/512 or 1TB of storage. Fold7 gets some benefits on the connectivity front with the support of the new Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 standards.
The software side is covered by a UI8 with full Galaxy AI suite on Android 16. Samsung is promising 7 Android OS updates and 7 -year security patch. Fold7 users are also getting free for 6 months of AI Pro Tier of Google.
While Samsung brought an upgrade to the fold 7, the battery is still stuck with the same old 25W wired, 15W wireless and 4.5W reverse wireless charging at 4,400mAh.
The Galaxy Z fold 7 will be available in blue shadow, silver shadow, jet black and mint colors, later Samsung.com will be exclusive.

The baseline 12/256GB model starts from $ 2,000/€ 2,100/£ 1,800, while the top-line will sell 16GB RAM and 1TB storage trim $ 2,420/€ 2,520/£ 2,100.
