Samsung is preparing to launch Galaxy S26 series soon. There have been a lot of rumors surrounding the latest flagship phone from the Korean giant. However, a new report has hinted that Samsung may take inspiration from Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro for the Galaxy S26 Ultra this time.
Samsung may abandon titanium for the Galaxy S26 Ultra
Tipster Ice Universe has shared an alleged list of colors for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra on X. Colors include – Black Shadow, White Shadow, Galactic Blue and Ultraviolet. The tipster highlighted that these shades do not have ‘titanium’ in their name, which suggests that Samsung may not be using titanium for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Samsung has used titanium frames for its top-of-the-line flagships since the Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, it appears that the company may switch to a different material this year. This leak comes after Apple moved from titanium to aluminum for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Why might Samsung have decided to move away from titanium for the Galaxy S26 Ultra?
Although Samsung has not commented on such a design change for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, it could happen. Titanium is a more durable material than aluminum, but it is worse at heat dissipation. Additionally, an aluminum frame can allow for more vibrant design colors.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, here’s what we know
In a separate post, the tipster claims to have seen the Galaxy S26 Ultra in person and describes another design element that is clearly inspired by Apple. “The new design looks like the metal rings around the cameras on the iPhone 17 Pro Max,” the tipster said, specifying that Samsung’s interpretation could involve a narrow metal ring around the camera lens.
Apart from these last-minute leaks, we know that the Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to have a new integrated camera module on the back, similar to the one on the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in select regions, while some markets are likely to get the Exynos 2600 variant. The device also features a new built-in privacy screen. Rumors also indicate that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may support wired fast charging up to 60W, and may also come with Qi2 wireless charging support.
