Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra likely to launch in 2 weeks: Price in India, battery, camera, launch date and other expected details
The India launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be just a few weeks away, with leaks pointing to a major display upgrade, camera refinements, faster charging, and a possible battery boost.

It appears Samsung is close to unveiling its next Ultra flagship, with leaks suggesting the Galaxy S26 Ultra launch is now about two weeks away. A mix of official teasers and fresh leaks have revealed a number of expected details about the phone’s display, camera, battery, charging and price in India, giving a pretty clear picture of what Samsung might announce at its next Unpacked event.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra launching soon: India price, battery, camera, launch date and more leaked
display, privacy screen feature
One of the biggest talking points ahead of the launch is the display of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung recently teased a “new layer of privacy”, which strongly hints at a built-in privacy screen feature. Unlike traditional privacy screen protectors, which permanently limit the viewing angle, this solution is said to be software-controlled and integrated directly into the OLED panel. Users are expected to activate it only when needed, such as when entering passwords, using banking apps, or reading private messages in public.
The leak suggests that the privacy feature will work on a per-app basis and can mask only select parts of the screen, such as notifications, rather than blurring the entire display. When activated, the screen is expected to remain clear when viewed face-on, but becomes difficult to read from a side angle, providing privacy without impacting everyday use.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is also likely to feature a native 10-bit OLED display, which is a step up from the 8-bit panels used in previous Galaxy Ultra models. A true 10-bit panel can display over a billion colors, which should result in smoother gradients and less color banding, especially when viewing HDR content or editing photos. The phone is expected to use Samsung’s new M14 OLED panel, which is said to be 20 to 30 percent more power-efficient than the M13 panel used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
camera
The camera upgrade appears to be focused on low-light performance and better tuning rather than major sensor changes. The leak suggests a wider aperture for both the main rear camera and a 5x telephoto lens. The main camera can shift to an f/1.4 aperture, while the telephoto lens can shift to f/2.9, allowing more light to reach the sensor. Samsung is also expected to offer more control over image processing through updated Camera Assistant features, letting users reduce over-sharpening and adjust autofocus transition speeds for video recording. It is recommended to switch the front camera to a wider 22mm lens for better group selfies.
charging, chipset
This year may finally see a significant jump in charging. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to support 60W wired charging, moving away from Samsung’s long-standing 45W limit. If accurate, this could allow the phone to charge up to 50 percent in less than 15 minutes. Fast wireless charging is also expected, although Samsung hasn’t shared official figures yet.
In terms of performance, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The standard edition is expected to be manufactured using a 3nm process, while a special “For Galaxy” edition may use the more advanced 2nm process. Memory speeds may also be improved, with the faster LPDDR5X RAM helping to reduce camera shutter lag and speed up AI-based image processing.
battery, design
After several generations the battery capacity may finally increase. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to have a battery between 5,100mAh and 5,400mAh, which is more than the 5,000mAh unit Samsung has used since the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Despite this, the phone is expected to be slim, with a thickness tipped to be around 7.9mm.
In terms of design, no major changes are expected in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It is likely to retain the overall look of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with slightly more curved corners for better grip. A more noticeable camera bump is also expected, making room for a wider camera aperture. The display size may increase marginally to around 6.89 inches, while the bezel size will remain largely unchanged.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Expected India price and leaked launch date
As far as pricing is concerned, Samsung has not confirmed its plans yet. For reference, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was launched in India for Rs 1,29,999. While some markets may see a price revision with the Galaxy S26 lineup, other markets may maintain the same pricing as the current generation. India price is expected to be revealed at the time of launch.
It is widely expected that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26 series at its next Unpacked event, which is scheduled to take place on February 25 or 26. With official teasers already going live and most of the key details now emerging, the Galaxy S26 Ultra launch appears to be imminent.
