The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may not be as exciting. New leaks and rumors indicate that the upcoming flagship will facilitate its predecessor, Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Listen to the story

Samsung’s next flagship – Galaxy S26 Ultra – has been in the news for some time. Even though the launch is estimated to be early next year, recently leaked a good enough image that is coming. It is expected to launch in January, the company cannot bring many upgrades to the next-Jeen series. Sound familiar? Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra was also criticized for not bringing major changes in the phone. And now the upcoming flagship, Galaxy S25 is being discussed for Ultra. Let’s deeply.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: New leaks do not suggest no major upgrade
The new information about the Galaxy S26 Ultra has emerged through the Pandflash on the X, and it appears that Samsung’s next flagship is not pushing the boundaries as much as some people expected. The handset is expected to maintain the 200MP main camera seen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra using the same HP2 sensor. Only remarkable changes seem to be more promoted “updated pixels” and a re -designed lens -the most promotion rather than a complete overhaul.

In a disappointing step, Samsung will not include magnetic ring support in the design of the phone, unlike its many Android rivals. This means that the users will not be able to use the goods of magasaf-style without purchasing a dedicated case. This is a missing opportunity, especially when Apple continues to take advantage of the magsafe as a major feature in its ecosystem.
Completely, a previous report indicated that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be equipped with a sufficient 7,000mAh battery. In addition, Samsung is allegedly discovering the use of silicon-carbon battery technology, which can significantly pave the way for larger battery capabilities in the entire Galaxy S26 range compared to the S25 series.
However, this potential battery upgrade may come at a cost. Previous rumors say, Samsung is likely to fit the Galaxy S26 Ultra with only three rear cameras-one step back from the quad-camera setup we seen in recent years. The last time an ultra model shown only three lenses, the Galaxy S20 was ultra, which also marked the onset of the ultra line.
Samsung is already testing a prototype of Galaxy S26 Ultra, characterized by this modified camera setup. The configuration is asked to include the other 200-megapixel sensor used for telephoto shots with a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and 4X optical zoom.
In particular, the upcoming S26 Ultra is expected to leave one of the zoom lenses found in the previous model, indicating a change in Samsung’s photographic approach. However, to offset this change, the company is reportedly bringing back the variable aperture technology – a feature that was previously introduced with the Galaxy S9 range.
While this innovation came in a few later models, it was eventually left with the S20 series. Its reproduction points to a new emphasis to renew the low-exploitation performance and more refined depth-field control, potentially compensation for low zoom versatility.
