Samsung is reportedly ready for a major battery upgrade, and if all go away, the change may begin with its next major chain – possibly the Galaxy S 26 according to a fresh leakage. According to an ELEC report, the company is preparing to adopt a battery technique called Sus Can, which uses stainless steel to improve the internal structure of the battery. The goal here is not just how much energy the battery can catch in a compact space, but also to help to help avoid long-term issues such as rapid charge and swelling-that has quietly affected the old galaxy model over time.
Interestingly, this stainless steel-based technology is already being used in Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max, so Samsung’s decision looks like a well-calculated trick to stay in the race. However, this change will probably not come on every Galaxy phone. Given the cost and complexity included, it is expected to be reserved for the first premium model, looking like a potential candidate with Galaxy S26.
