Samsung confirmed during its latest earnings call that the Galaxy S25 series will launch in the first half of 2025. “The Galaxy S25 series, which will be released in the first half of next year, plans to enhance the Galaxy AI experience.” Promote innovation in everyday life and expand sales by strengthening marketing and experience programs,” Samsung’s blog post reads. During the earnings call, Samsung also said it wants to leverage Galaxy AI to drive both sales growth and profitability by focusing on flagship models like the Galaxy S25 series and foldable devices. Additionally, it plans to boost sales of ecosystem products including the Galaxy Tab, Book and wearables.
While Samsung has only confirmed a launch in the “first half”, as per its usual timeline, we expect the S25 series to launch in January 2025. The Galaxy S24 series was launched in January this year. Foldables are usually launched in the month of July, and this could be the time frame for 2025 Samsung foldables as well.
Apart from the Galaxy S25 series and foldables, Samsung also announced during the earnings call that it will launch its first extended reality (XR) headset in 2025. However, no timeline has been revealed for this. The Samsung blog post only says that it is “scheduled to launch in the future”. According to Samsung’s post, a new version of the Galaxy Ring may also be announced next year.
But there is more. There are also reports of a new Galaxy S25 Slim and a (comparatively) affordable Galaxy Z Flip FE for next year. Samsung didn’t mention either in its earnings call. However, reports suggest that the alleged Galaxy S25 Slim will launch in April 2025, and the Galaxy Z Flip FE will launch alongside other foldables. The Galaxy S25 Slim will reportedly be the new name for the flagship FE model.
