Samsung officially teased its upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge at the Galaxy Unpacked event, indicating a smooth addition to its major Galaxy S25 lineup. While the company has wrapped most of the details, leaks and rumors have started giving us clear ideas about what to expect from this slim phone. One of the most discussed characteristics, which was the first teaser dropped after the Galaxy Unpacked Event-is a dual-rear camera setup instead of the estimated three-lens rear camera setup on S25 and S25+.
According to an X (East Twitter) user, the Galaxy S25 Edge can come up with a 200-megapixel primary camera, which was paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It keeps it corresponding to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which also has a 200-megapixel main sensor, although Ultra moves with a new 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. In comparison, the standard Galaxy S25 and S25+ have a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.

Another attraction of leakage is performance protection. The Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to sport the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front side, similar to the Vanilla Galaxy S25. So, there is no gorilla glass armor 2 like the Galaxy S25 Ultra model, which means no anti-reflex properties for the Galaxy S25 edge display.
In terms of glasses, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to facilitate a 6.7 -inch flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is likely to operate for the Galaxy chipset by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which ensures the top level performance. Samsung is reportedly targeted for a thin design, just 6.4 mm thick with the phone. However, this slim profile can come at the cost of battery capacity, as the S25 edge is rumored to pack a 3,900mAh battery. The charging speed is expected to cap at 25W, which may feel slightly less than some contestants.
Talking about the competition, Samsung is not just going to work on a thin phone. Apple is rumored to develop an iPhone 17 Air, which can be about 6 mm thick and may have a 48-megapixel primary rear camera.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be launched in April 2025 with availability in 39 countries including India. Once again, these are only rumors until Samsung officially confirms the details.
