Listen to the story

Samsung is set to launch its latest mid-range smartphone in India on 17 April, Galaxy M56 5G. The launch will be at 12 noon tomorrow and will be online through Amazon India. The company claims that it will be the thinnest and fastest phone in its segment. Samsung will announce the price of the phone tomorrow, but if the Galaxy M55 5G of the last year has to do anything, we can expect it to be in a uniform price range.
The Galaxy M55 started Rs 24,999 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for the base model, with the top version of Rs 30,999. After the bank exemption, the effective price for the high version also decreased by Rs 30,000. If Samsung clings to the same strategy, the Galaxy M56 may also launch around Rs 25,000, with the final value for early buyers with introductory offers. Tomorrow’s launch event is expected to have more details.
Samsung Galaxy M56 5G: Confirmed so far
In the lead-up of launch, Samsung has already confirmed some of the major features of the Galaxy M56. The company claims that the phone will be the thinnest in its category, which measures only 7.2 mm thick. Interestingly, it is similar to Samsung’s own head, Galaxy S25, this year exposes a trend towards the slimmer smartphone. Back in January, the Galaxy S25 Edge was also introduced as Samsung’s thinnest phone.
The Galaxy M56 will also come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Safety on both front and back, which will be paired with a premium combination of glass and metal construction. It is expected to give the device more sophisticated, flagship -like experience.
For photography, Samsung has confirmed a 50-megapixel triple rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). On the front, the device will sports a 12-megapixel HDR selfie camera. The phone will also support video recording at 4K resolution per second in 30-bit HDR. On the software front, the Galaxy M56 will be equipped with the latest Galaxy AI features, which will continue Samsung’s push to bring advanced tools into its smartphone lineup.
There is another standout feature display. Samsung says that the M56 will come with the most bright Super AMOLED+ screen used on a Galaxy M series phone, appealing to users who prefer vivid visual and external readability.
What else expects from Galaxy M56
The Galaxy M56 5G will follow last year’s Galaxy M55, which began in April 2023. The M55 Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 was powered by a General 1 chipset and a 6.7-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its camera system includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS and a high-resolution 50-megapixel front camera for selfie. The M55 was also supported by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
