Introduction and Glasses
Samsung’s popular Galaxy A56 mid-range smartphone is here, and this price brings some remarkable upgrades on its predecessor, Galaxy A55 without increasing the ladder. In fact, one can also argue that the A56 Vanilla brings a better price per dollar than the Galaxy S24 and S25.
This year, the Galaxy A56 display has increased from 6.6 “to 6.7”, without a bulk. Samsung succeeded in trimming the bezels without making the chassis quite big. Quite opposite, really. A56 is now light and thin. The performance is also believed to be bright.
The device shook Samsung’s relatively new Exynos 1580 chipset, which we have not seen in action anywhere else.

There has been no change in the camera department, as the device has a 50MP main unit added with 12MP ultravide and 5MP macro snapper. The 12MP selfie replaces the old 32MP one, however, we expect a better looking selfie this time. But despite the minor camera hardware upgrade, Samsung claims that AI improves the quality of the image in some scenarios, such as night photography.
Talking about AI, the Galaxy A56 supports some characteristics of Galaxy AI, but not everything from the Galaxy S series.
Last but at least, the Galaxy A56 now has a fast 45W charging, faster than the Vanilla Galaxy S25. Battery capacity remains unchanged – 5,000 mAh.
In particular, Samsung promises 6-year-old OS updates, which is a good future-proofing bonus and perhaps the longest, the longest, for the longest, not software support.
To unbox Samsung Galaxy A56
The Galaxy A56 falls in a minor retail box that only has a USB-C for general user manual and data transfer and charging. There are no additional protective cases or anything.
The phone supports 45W fast charging on PD using Samsung’s PPS, so you have to buy a separate one to avail fast charging rate.
