Samsung Galaxy A36 renders show a new design for the rear, promising a slimmer device

Must read

Samsung will be changing its established design language with the launch of the Galaxy A36 (and possibly A56). We can see the new look in these 3D renders Giznext And onleaks,

The phone will go back in time – the three camera lenses on the back will no longer be separate elements, but will be grouped into a camera island with a vertical arrangement. This is similar to what we had with the Galaxy A30s a few years ago.

Samsung will retain some design elements from the current A-series, such as the key island (the bulge where the power and volume keys are). If you include the Key Islands, the A36 will be slightly narrower than the A35, with a width of 77.9 mm (vs. 78.0 mm) or 78.4 mm. The new model will be slightly taller at 162.6 mm (vs 161.7 mm).

That’s partly because Samsung is increasing the screen size of the Galaxy A36 to 6.64″ (up from 6.60″). The upcoming model will be thinner than its predecessor, measuring 7.4mm (down from 8.2mm). Including the camera bump, the thickness goes up to 9.6mm. There is no information yet about battery capacity.

We recently spotted the Samsung Galaxy A36 (SM-A366B) running Android 15 on Geekbench. The chipset wasn’t entirely clear – it’s either the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or the 7s Gen 2. This represents another change in suppliers for the A3x series. , which went from the Dimensity 1080 on the A34 and the Exynos 1380 on the A35.

Anyway, coming back to the display – it’s a flat panel with a punch hole in the middle for the selfie camera and slightly asymmetric bezels. In short, the A36 looks pretty much the same as its predecessor from the front. There is no fingerprint reader on the edge, so it will be built into the display (no changes here).

The Samsung Galaxy A56 was also leaked recently, it comes with the new Exynos 1580 chipset with AMD RDNA graphics. Don’t let these leaks get your hopes up, it will probably be a few more months before we see the A36 and A56 officially – the A35 and A55 were launched in mid-March.
