Sameera Reddy explains why moms need to “make time” for themselves
Sameera Reddy is one proud mom. The actress keeps posting pictures and videos with her son Hans and daughter Nyra. Sameera never shies away from sharing both the positive and negative sides of motherhood. In an Instagram post, she talked about the importance of “me time” for moms out there. In the video, she can be seen taking time off from her parenting duties and enjoying a beach vacation alone in Greece. In a short note, Sameera wrote, “Sometimes, you just have to put the brakes on and take time for yourself. Because motherhood and life can really consume you. Moms lose themselves in the everyday routine, and maybe they need some time to remind themselves of who they were before all of this.”

Earlier, Sameera Reddy had spoken about how motherhood can be different for different individuals. In an interview with The Times of India, she compared herself to her parents and other mothers. She said, "We can't be like our parents. Things have changed a lot. There's a lot of talk on social media, a lot of perfect parenting. There are mothers who claim they don't give their kids any sugar or screen time. I find it hard to believe."
Sameera further explained how she balances her duties as a mother. "I do everything in balance. I believe whatever is working for me right now is the right way. Motherhood is your journey, and you have to make it your own. I have made it mine, and I am very happy. No regrets. Even if I keep making mistakes, I won't feel bad because it's part of the journey," she said.
Sameera Reddy married entrepreneur Akshai Varde in January 2014. The couple welcomed their son Hans in May 2015 and daughter Nyra in July 2019.
