Actor and filmmaker Saloni Chopra has criticized the ‘Songs of Paradise’ of Prime Video to cast his alleged addict Zain Khan Durrani, which he accused of violence during the Metu movement in 2018.

Actor and filmmaker Saloni Chopra has criticized the producers of the recently released prime video film ‘Songs of Paradise’ to cast their alleged abuser, actor Zain Khan Durrani. Saloni first accused Zain of physical and emotional abuse during the Metu movement in 2018. A few days after the release of the film’s last weekend, he expressed his disappointment on Instagram by sharing a detailed note remembering his experiences.
In his note, Saloni wrote how “when I was sitting helpless he chociped” and “pulled me out of the house.” He also described the incidents of gaslighting and violence, saying that he chose to publicly speak after misbehaving with other women. According to him, Durrani later sent a “copy-pasted waiver” after his allegations.
“And yet today, he is acting in an Amazon Prime film. Publicity was promoted. A man is worth celebrating. So the next time you wonder why women don’t speak? Why is this, why is it,” she said.
Pointing to the comprehensive film industry, Saloni questioned why acclaimed actors continued to cooperate with men accused of misbehavior. “And what is misleading here: self-declared feminists, actors who build a career on equality speeches, the artist who hashtag justice and solidarity, they are standing next to him. Working with him,” he said.
