Dia Mirza recently talked about working with Salman Khan in the 2002 film Tumko Na Bhool Payenge. The film, which also starred Sushmita Sen, marked his first collaboration with a Bollywood superstar.

In an interview with Connect Cine, Dia Mirza recounted an interesting incident from the sets of the film. She revealed that during a shoot, Salman Khan pointed out the female artiste who played her mother and said that she was once his heroine in his previous film.

He said, “We were shooting with Rajpal Yadav and a very funny scene was going on. The lady who was playing Salman’s mother at the time of the scene was also there. (We were shooting with Rajpal Yadav and the actress who played Salman’s mother was also present there during that scene). She was waiting for her shot. Salman Just like that they say to me, ‘You know that once this woman who is playing my mother was my heroine!’ what did i say (Then Salman told me that the same woman played the heroine in one of his early films! I was like)?

“I was shocked, I couldn’t believe it! She said, ‘Yeah, she was my lead actress in a movie’. I said, ‘So she’s your age, and she plays your mom. Is it?’ He was like, ‘Yeah and one day, you’ll play my mom!’,” she recalled.

Dia Mirza further added, “I was like ‘I hope that day never comes!’ Of all my memories of working with Salman, this one stood out because it was so hilarious!’

Dia Mirza also shared her admiration for Salman Khan and revealed that she was a big fan of his before signing the film. He also shared an incident where Salman Khan saved him from the mob during the shooting in Rajasthan,
