Saif Ali Khan was finally discharged from the hospital on Tuesday evening, days after the brutal attack at his Bandra residence. Jeh’s maternal grandmother, Aliamma Philip, was the first to spot the intruder, whom she also tried to confront, but he allegedly assaulted her and attacked both Saif and another staff member. Acknowledging his courageous act, the actor’s sister Saba Pataudi wrote a heartfelt note on her social media handle.
Hours after Saif Ali Khan was discharged from Lilavati Hospital, his sister Saba Pataudi shared a collage of pictures with two of his female staff members on her Instagram stories. In the first picture, we can see Jeh’s maternal grandmother, while in the second picture there is another staff member who came to help the actor and confine the alleged attacker in a room.
“The unsung heroes…who literally pulled their weight when it mattered most! Bless everyone who contributed to keeping my brother and his family safe! You are the best!” She also added a text GIF that read, “You are our hero!”

Last week, on Thursday, January 16, an intruder entered Saif’s Bandra residence. Within a span of 30 minutes, she was seen for the first time by Jeh’s grandmother in Nanhe’s room. He allegedly assaulted the nanny and later attacked Saif and another staff member when they intervened. After the actor was attacked, his son, Taimur Ali Khan and another staff member took him to the hospital in an autorickshaw.
The actor underwent surgery in the hospital for multiple attacks which included removing a 2.5-inch knife from his spine. He was discharged yesterday, Tuesday, January 21, almost five days after the brutal attack.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police on Sunday, January 19, nabbed an accused from Thane, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, 30, who is reportedly a Bangladeshi national. According to the police, he changed his identity to Vijay Das while entering India illegally. After his arrest, he was sent to police custody for 5 days by Bandra Court.
As a part of the investigation, Mumbai Police also took them to the actor’s residence and other locations to recreate the crime scene.
