Sabrina Carpenter kicked off 2025 with her trademark humor, poking fun at herself via the viral New Year’s resolution tradition on Instagram. The Nonsense singer made light of the double meaning by quipping, “The New Year’s resolution is no more disgusting jokes, it’s going to be really hard.”
The caption included several shots of the pop star dressed as a winter wonderland fashionista without compromising on comfort. Carpenter’s post received nearly 2 million likes within two hours.
The comments section of her post was filled with fans joining in on the fun, with one user writing, “You can make this. At least for five minutes, I know you can do it.”
This isn’t the first time Carpenter has displayed his quirky side. During her Short N’ Sweet Tour last year, the singer made suggestive gestures and gave the bridges of her already bold songs a playful twist more than once.

Carpenter has had an eventful year, with his tracks Espresso and Please Please Please topping music charts around the world. The latter song, which featured her then-boyfriend Barry Keoghan, also earned her a Billboard No. 1 spot.
Keoghan and Carpenter broke up in late 2024, with rumors of infidelity swirling around the Saltburn actor.
Elsewhere, Carpenter took advantage of the opportunity to open for Taylor Swift during her record-breaking Erasure Tour, which concluded on December 8. She also garnered nominations in major categories such as Album, as well as a Best New Artist nomination at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Solo Album.
Carpenter will soon begin the European leg of his aforementioned tour.
